Flambeau 8500JT Storage Cabinet
Given the amount we spend on our tool boxes and tool carts, it’s a shame to dedicate a drawer to junk, clutter, and general crap that takes up valuable real estate. I invested in the Flambeau 5 Drawer organizer to keep small parts organized, easily accessible, and my work flow efficient. This unit is proudly made in the USA, so this product is hitting all my “checkboxes.”
Each parts organizer comes equipped with a handle and dedicated slide drawer. I plan on attached labels on the flat black portion of the handle between the two rivet holes.
If you have a Snap On locker, you can push this right up to the edge of your shelf without your door mounted slots-n-dots accessories coming in contact with the organizer.
This cabinet has a feature called Infinite Divider Storage (IDS) which has interlocking teeth/gloves along the entire length of the storage box. This allows you to place your dividers exactly where you want them.
The drawer slides are friction slides, which I find totally acceptable for what this is. I can appreciate that they’ve designed this so you can pull the drawer out far enough without having the lid falling over when you’re in the box.
Final Thoughts: Keeps small parts organized, easy to find, and protected. Given that you’re getting a large mold injected part and 5 drawers, the price point is fair and reasonable, especially when this was manufactured by Americans. When you consider what we pay for toolboxes, this will come in far cheaper than a dedicated “junk drawer.” I was not sent this Storage Cabinet for review; I bought this product without any incentives or anything.
